Heavy Rain Thunderstorms in Morocco on Thursday and Friday

Rabat – The Directorate of National Meteorology (DMN) has warned of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds for Thursday and Friday throughout Morocco. DMN issued a special forecast indicating that between 30 and 50 millimeters of rain will fall on Thursday between 3:00 a.m. and noon in the following provinces:  Benslimane, Casablanca, Chefchaouen, El Hajeb, Fahs-Anjra, Kenitra, Khemisset, Larache, M’diq-Fnideq, Mediouna, Meknes, Mohammedia, Nouaceur, Ouezzane, Rabat, Sale, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Skhirat-Temara, Tangier-Asilah, and Tetouan. The directorate also expects heavy rains on Thursday between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. in Berkane, Figuig, Jerada, Oujda-Angad, and Taourirt. DMN predicted that relatively strong thunderstorms will hit Morocco from 5:00 p.m. Thursday to 3:00 a.m Friday in the following provinces: Benslimane, Berrechid, Casablanca, El Jadida, Kenitra, Khemisset, Mediouna, Mohammedia, Nouaceur, Rabat, Rehamna, Sale, Settat, Sidi Bennour, Sidi Slimane, and Skhirat-Temara.The rain will come with strong winds and hail in a few locations. read more
