SANTA CLARA, California (AP):Peyton Manning’s last game? Cam Newton’s finest moment? For all the golden tinge the National Football League (NFL) is placing on Super Bowl 50, this one just might come down to how the two star quarterbacks deal with the dynamic defences bent on humbling them. There can’t be a better storyline than a five-time MVP likely to take his final snaps with a championship on the line. Except, perhaps, the league’s rising star carrying his franchise to its first NFL title in the face of detractors.Throw in those defences: Denver rank first overall in many statistics and certainly in intimidation, with a pass rush capable of neutralising any air game; Carolina make game-changing plays to the tune of a league-high 39 takeaways and a plus-20 turnover margin.Add in a pair of coaches at the peak of their NFL careers, a relatively new stadium with nearly all imaginable technology, and a half-century of America’s biggest game and the intrigue metre hits the stratosphere.”If you have any appreciation for the game, and certainly you have watched Super Bowls, played in the Super Bowls, have a sibling that has played in the Super Bowls,” Manning says, ,”it does make it maybe even more special.”QUARTERBACKS: Manning, in his fourth Super Bowl, has been quiet on whether this will be the end of one of the most prolific and entertaining careers in sports history. He’s 39, has been plagued by injuries for much of the last five seasons, and, win or lose, has nothing left to prove.”I think it is important to use all of your experience to your advantage,” Manning says. “I think you can always refer back to prior situations and two-minute drives, or a fourth-and-goal from the 2-yard line. The more experience you have, you can use that to help you.”Newton doesn’t have that background yet. But he was the NFL’s most dominant and sometimes most polarising player this season. No one has more fun playing the game than the 2010 Heisman Trophy winner, 2011 top overall draft pick and 2015 All-Pro quarterback who threw for 35 touchdowns and ran for 10.If Manning represents the old guard, Newton with his celebrations, dabbing and just plain coolness is the future. Some media compared Newton to Usain Bolt.”Really?” Newton says, entertained by the comparison. “I got the opportunity to meet Usain last year. He was a cool guy. He was like real cool, you know? Like internationally cool. I’m just locally cool, you know?”Bolt owns a vault full of gold medals. Newton goes for the gold of Super Bowl 50. Game time is 6:30 p.m. (Jamaica time).

There was no threat to the driver, but they were aware that they did strike a human being, a reasonable person,” James detailed. While noting that this is a serious offence, he warned that matters of this sort would be seriously addressed, to ensure that persons are prosecuted for such offences.“If you are involved in an accident, Police stations are spread across our country. Make a report to the nearest Police station. It’s a stance we’ve taken, and we’ll be addressing this matter seriously,” James warned.

ST. JOHN’S, N.L. — Newfoundland and Labrador woke up to its first minority government in nearly 50 years Friday morning, with acrimonious election night comments from party leaders leaving voters to wonder how long it will survive.Premier Dwight Ball’s Liberals held on to 20 of the legislature’s 40 seats, Ches Crosbie’s Tories won 15, the New Democrats took three seats and two Independent members were elected. The slim win for Ball signals some voter dissatisfaction with his government since it won a landslide majority in 2015.In a victory speech in Corner Brook late Thursday night, Ball spoke about the need for collaboration in the legislature while criticizing Crosbie afterwards for running “a very dirty campaign.”He emphasized the hard times the province went through during his first years in office and promised to stay humble in his second term.Across the island in his St. John’s district, Crosbie said he would not concede victory to the Liberals and predicted Ball’s government would not survive the year.Crosbie described the results as “a situation of constitutional instability” and said he would be reaching out to Independent and NDP members in the coming days.Further details on the Tory leader’s ominous remarks had been expected Friday, but a scheduled media appearance was postponed until next week. The Liberals are one seat shy of the 21 needed for a majority, and the opposition parties don’t have enough seats to topple the government.Speculation has focused on the two elected Independents, Eddie Joyce and Paul Lane, both former Liberals.Lane, who also previously sat as a Tory, indicated in Twitter posts Friday that he would not join any party. With no incumbents in the race and candidates in just 14 ridings, the NDP rallied to claim three seats, including one for political rookie and party leader Alison Coffin. While Coffin congratulated Ball on his “fine” campaign in her Thursday night speech, she said to applause that the premier had met a “formidable adversary” in her.Holly McKenzie-Sutter, The Canadian Press
Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool in Deadpool 2. (Twentieth Century Fox) It caught the real Deadpool’s attention and Reynolds responded: “Um… @tylerperry, if you could film six more minutes of this, we’d have Deadpool 3. Or @nobodysfool part 2.”Thrilled to get feedback from the actor, Tyler returned to social media early on Thursday and wrote: “You have no idea what a huge Deadpool fan I am!! You’re amazing my friend. All the best to you and your family.”You have no idea what a huge Deadpool fan I am!! You’re amazing my friend. All the best to you and your family.— Tyler Perry (@tylerperry) November 1, 2018Tyler isn’t the only star who has heaped praise on Reynolds in recent weeks – the actor’s Life co-star Jake Gyllenhaal wrote a touching Variety essay in honour of the publication’s New Power of New York list last month.“What we all want for our friends in this business is for the world to see what we see, and as actors, that only happens in a perfect storm of timing and the full luck,” Jake wrote. “After years of waiting and struggling to fit his unfortunate, pear-shaped physique into the skinny jeans of a conventional romantic lead, Ryan made his own luck with Deadpool.”He added: “For all of the effortlessness that Ryan projects, the man works tirelessly. He writes all night so he can be present for his kids and wife all day… So often – too often – the wildly talented people of our world funnel the lion’s share of their energy into their work, but as good a writer and comedian as Ryan is, he is a better friend and father and husband. And that, for me, is the true mark of power.” Login/Register With: Advertisement Advertisement Facebook Twitter LEAVE A REPLY Cancel replyLog in to leave a comment Advertisement Ryan Reynolds enjoyed a Halloween hoot when Tyler Perry dressed up as his movie superhero Deadpool to promote his new movie Nobody’s Fool. The actor and director added his beloved cross-dressing character Madea’s grey wig and carried a handbag as he pretended he was the movie matriarch behind the Deadpool mask in the online video, trying to hide from Tyler Perry, who earlier this week revealed he was killing off the grandmother following one more film.“MA-DEA-D Pool!!
